Calvin Boyd's Story

Overcoming exposure to lead at an early age, Calvin worked with the Goodwill team to find work with Park City Green. He is now able to support himself and help support his father, brother, and grandmother. Calvin is the winner of the 2016 Spirit of Perseverance Award.

An incredibly tough childhood set Lakeisha on a path where she lacked the motivation and support to succeed after graduating high school. After enrolling in Goodwill's customer service and retail training program, Lakeisha found the inspiration and motivation to take her life on a path to success. Lakeisha is the winner of the 2017 Spirit of Inspiration Award.

A single mom of three kids, some with special needs, Kendra found herself underemployed needing to earn more money to cover rising medical bills and better support her family. After a visit to a Goodwill Career Center, Kendra found the hope and support she needed. Kendra is the winner of the 2017 Spirit of Determination Award.
